How it works

You will have a brief consultation with one of our pharmacists to review your symptoms. If appropriate, a prescription treatment—most commonly a topical antibiotic—may be supplied. You will receive clear instructions on how to use the medication and advice on reducing the risk of spreading the infection.

What to expect

With appropriate treatment, impetigo usually clears within 7 to 10 days. Good hygiene is essential, including avoiding contact with sores, washing hands regularly, and keeping the affected area clean. Our team will provide full aftercare guidance to support recovery and help prevent recurrence.
